Spanish buy-to-let 'is a different marketplace'
One of the advantages of seeking help with money through overseas property investment is that the markets operate largely independently, it has been claimed.
According to personal finance property firm Atlas International, purchasing a buy-to-let property in Spain might appeal to UK investors because the country is experiencing none of the problems suffered at home.
The firm states that such investments are becoming more appealing because the market is growing, with the cost of travelling to the country declining.
James Dearsley, European sales manager for the company, remarks: "It's a very different style of buy-to-let anyway.
"In Spain, you've got the option of that longer-term letting, which is …ex-pats who want to move out there but want to rent first."
He added that, at the same time, short-term letting remains viable.
According to Spanish Property Insight's latest report, Murcia is the region that has performed most strongly in the last 12 months, with 10.7 per cent annualised price growth.
