Nissan 'looks to educate car criminals'
Car owners in and around Lancaster may be pleased to hear of the latest crime reduction initiative from Nissan.
The car manufacturer is hoping to provide help with money by driving down premiums, through a scheme to keep young offenders on the straight and narrow.
Criminals currently associated with an institution in the area will have the opportunity to take part in a scheme offering training in car maintenance.
Meanwhile, they will be given information about the costs and effects of car crime in an effort to make them understand its impact on victims.
Although there has been a fall of 51 per cent in car crime incidents in the last ten years, according to Home Office statistics, nonetheless consumers should ensure that they scour the market to make sure they have the most appropriate and cost-effective car insurance available.
In related money news, personal finance provider Admiral Insurance recently revealed that Fraserburgh in Aberdeenshire has the lowest incidence of such crime in the UK.
