Lighting 'can help to close a home sale'
Consumers looking to sell their home may find that investing in stylish lighting helps to improve the overall appearance of a property, according to Asco Lights.
Ajay Vasdev, director of the lighting firm, explains that certain types of illumination such as light-emitting diodes are very popular and may also provide help with money to due to their energy-efficient nature.
"If you enter a property and the lights look very good it suddenly adds to the overall appearance of that property," he adds.
Mr Vasdev concluded that that "very drab" lighting can actually down-value a home due to its negative effect on the appearance of a property.
According to realtor firm Lowes, there are four types of lighting important to creating a good ambience in a room.
These include task lighting, accent lighting, ambient lighting and natural light.
The firm observes that a west-facing room will receive strong, warm light in the evening with an orange tint.
