Top award for Sainsbury's Internet Saver account
Sainsbury's Internet Saver account has picked up the Trust It award from a financial website.
The online account has been granted the new 36-month consistency ranking by Moneyfacts after research showed it had consistently offered customers above-base rate of interest since January 2005.
According to Sainsbury's, this makes it the "only instant access account to consistently offer above-base rate interest on balances of £1 or more for the last three years".
Neil Cameron, savings manager at Sainsbury's Finance, said: "The savings market is changing all the time with leading rates available today which might not be so attractive tomorrow, so rather than having to watch your savings like a hawk, we advise savers to make sure that they have their money in an account that consistently offers an attractive rate.
"We are proud of our Internet Saver's track record for offering consistently attractive rates and of having that independently recognised by Moneyfacts with their Trust It award."
