Leeds to launch new Inflation Buster Isa
Leeds Building Society has announced the imminent launch of a new version of its Inflation Buster Individual Savings Account (Isa).
According to the company, the new account offers to beat inflation by 2.5 per cent, making it especially attractive amid soaring food, mortgage and energy costs.
Karen Wint, general manager of the firm's marketing and customer services unit, said: "Savers have seen their real return eroded with prices increasing by 4.2 per cent in the last 12 months and, with the prospect of rising inflation, we expect demand for the Inflation Buster Bonds to be very strong and we are now launching another tax free version, which is extremely attractive in the Isa market.
"Furthermore, customers have access to all their funds at any time and the account can be opened at any of our 68 branches, online or by post."
The Inflation Buster Isa is available from June 2nd and uses the Retail Price Index as its measure of inflation.
