The Newcastle launches new fixed rate option bond
Newcastle Building Society has unveiled a new fixed rate bond offering a rate of seven per cent.
The Fixed Rate Option Bond is available with a minimum deposit of £500 and maximum of £1,000,000.
Over the course of the maturity, investors are free to deposit more in the scheme, but are not permitted to make withdrawals.
Applications invited from June 23 with all savers over the age of 18 eligible to participate.
Steve Urwin, senior marketing executive at the firm, said: "Newcastle Building Society is very pleased to announce the launch of its new fixed rate option bond with a market - leading rate of seven per cent.
"This account provides savers with a competitive and secure rate of interest and is a great opportunity for customers who do not require immediate access to their funds."
