The Cheshire launches new two-year fixed rate bond
Cheshire building society has announced the launch of a new bond offering a rate of 6.75 per cent.
Aimed at "savers looking to secure a guaranteed return over two years", the fixed rate offer is available with a minimum investment of £1,000.
Maximum investment, meanwhile, is £200,000.
The building society is also offering a 12-month fix which offers a rate of 6.3 per cent, with investors offered the option of being paid the interest on maturity or one a monthly basis.
David Gibson, senior marketing manager for Cheshire Building Society, commented: "Economic uncertainty is encouraging people to be more careful with their money and has sparked a renewed interest in savings.
"Both the 12 month and two year fixed rate bonds are perfect for savers who want the guarantee of a great rate and don't need access to their funds for a fixed period, without the risk of investing in the stock market."
