Skipton launches new bond
Skipton Building Society is launching a new limited edition bond offering an interest rate of 6.7 per cent.
Available from June 6th to 14th or until maximum funds have been received, the Summer Bond offers the rate on a fixed basis for 18 months until December 18 2009.
Alternatively, savers who prefer a monthly income can benefit from a rate of 6.5 per cent.
Steve Aldous, general manager of the building society, said: "Our limited edition bonds have proved popular in the past, so we wanted to give savers the chance to snap up another one.
"At a scorching rate of 6.7 per cent investors are guaranteed to see their funds come to fruition."
Investors can secure entry to the bond will a minimum deposit of £500, with the maximum permitted to be submitted £50,000.
