Abbey unveils new range of bonds
Abbey is preparing to launch a series of bonds aimed at investors who are able to lock away their capital for a pre-determined period.
The Fixed Rate Bond is available for a range of terms, with deposits of £1,000 to £49,999 accruing interest of 5.70 per cent annually when held in the bond for one year.
Deposits of £50,000 and over, meanwhile, will yield a rate of six per cent.
The bond is also available for two and three year terms with rates standing at 5.2 per cent and 5.10 per cent respectively, on deposits of £1 or more.
Other new products include the 50+ Bond, which offers a rate of 5.30 per cent over three years and is only available to savers over 50 years of age.
Finally, the Children's Savings Bond is aimed at "people looking to save for a child's future" and promises a guaranteed fixed rate of 4.3 per cent over a term of four years.
Abbey's products are also available with monthly interest options.
