Nationwide unveils limited period offer on GEB
Nationwide is offering an interest rate incentive to customers who sign up to the latest issue of the Legal & General (L&G) Capital Guaranteed Multi-Index Equity Bond (GEB).
Under the terms of the offer, savers will receive pre-investment interest of four per cent, which will be added to the original investment when they sign up before September 13th.
The L&G GEB, which is now in its fourth issue, is a six year deposit based investment that guarantees to return the original capital and provide a minimum return of at least 12 per cent if held until maturity.
Robin Bailey, Nationwide's investments director, said: "A Guaranteed Equity Bond offers consumers the opportunity to make an investment linked to three of the world's leading stock market indices without risking their capital.
"In the current climate, where people may be more cautious about investing directly in the stock market, it offers peace of mind by guaranteeing to return the original investment plus a minimum of 12 per cent at maturity."
