Abbey cuts rates on fixes
Abbey has announced it is to cut the rates on its two and three year fixed rate mortgage offerings.
As of Monday, rates on the products will be trimmed by 0.15 per cent.
This will mean that the cost of a two-year fix with the lender will start at 6.34 per cent with a fee of £999 with a 75 per cent loan to value (LTV).
Three-year fixes of the same LTV will now start at 6.29 per cent.
The lender has also launched a new three-year fixed rate offer with LTV of 70 per cent which is price at 5.99 per cent with a fee of £1,695.
Phil Cliff, director of mortgages at Abbey, said: "Abbey is committed to offering competitive deals and our strength in the mortgage market allows us to do this.
"These rate reductions are the second set that Abbey has made in just ten days. What's more, we've added another market leading deal to the range."
