Scottish Widows introduces long-term fixed-rate
Consumers looking to compare mortgages who wish to ensure stability in their payments may be interested in the latest offering from Scottish Widows Bank.
The organisation has announced the launch of a ten-year fixed-rate product, allowing consumers the security of knowing their repayment values over an extended period.
Commenting on the help with money, head of product development and marketing Richard Clark said: "Although interest rates are expected to stabilise this year, demand for fixed-rate deals is likely to remain strong as borrowers look to protect themselves against any future rate increases."
He added that many people will currently be reaching the end of their shorter-term fixed-rate deals and will be looking for new means of help with finance that do not compromise heavily on affordability.
In October, Scottish Widows Bank announced the implementation of a new text-messaging service for those taking out mortgages, used to update them on the progress of their application.
