Property investors 'should make the most of French market'
Property investors should take advantage of the potential offered by the French housing sector in the coming weeks and months, one expert has claimed.
Trisha Mason, founder and managing director of VEF, which offers properties for sale in France, is convinced that there has never been a better time for people to invest in property in the European country.
Millions of consumers in the UK are facing trouble with money, but for those who can afford to invest in French property the market is looking increasingly attractive, Ms Mason has suggested.
"With direct enquiries in the office we are finding that there is a return to traditionally favoured areas - south-west France, the Cote d'Azur, et cetera," she said.
"I would think this has a lot to do with people not wanting to take too many risks in investing in new markets," she added.
In other money news, the Council of Mortgage Lenders reported recently that there has been a "sharp fall" in approvals for house purchases around the UK since the so-called credit crunch.
