Indian market 'geared towards investors'
Consumers choosing to buy into Indian property are generally doing so for the help with money achievable through the investment, one industry company has stated.
Rather than buying as a lifestyle choice, most investors purchase property in India specifically for the increased return possible, says homesgofast.com.
It adds that developers in the country are also aiming the market at such buyers.
Nick Marr, chief executive officer of Marr International, which owns property website HomesGoFast.com, added: "It seems to be that people, because of the credit crunch, are attracted to lower price property this year.
"It is a similar thing in Egypt [and] is a reflection of what is going on at the moment." I
According to the BBC, India has developed very quickly in recent years.
Goldman Sachs reported last year that it could surpass Britain as an economy in 15 years, potentially going on to overtake the US and being second only to China.
