Churchill offers January help with finance
With personal finance situations unusually tight following the Christmas binge, consumers could be looking for help with money in a number of quarters - and Churchill Insurance has offered one deal likely to please some.
The company is inviting those currently being provided with insurance by other firms to see if they could save funds by purchasing one of their premiums - suggesting that it hopes to meet the challenge of beating other quotes by £30.
Martin Scott, head of Churchill Home Insurance, says: "Our price guarantee enables new customers to obtain lower cost insurance at a time when many householders are under increased financial pressure after Christmas."
He added that those householders who had not made a claim for help with finance from their home insurer for three years would be eligible for the offer.
The company emphasises its automatic cover of up to £250,000 for buildings and £40,000 for contents, as well as 24-hour claims and emergency helplines among other benefits.
Last year, Churchill released the results of research urging parents to review their student offspring's cover, given that one in ten experienced a theft in the previous year costing an average of £470.
