Tesco halves prices on home insurance
Tesco has slashed the price of its home insurance products, it has been announced.
Under the terms of Tesco's new offer, all new customers who obtain a quote and subsequently go on to buy the policy within a 90-day time frame will secure cover for half price.
The deal applies during the first year of premiums for both building and contents insurance.
According to Tesco, by opting for its product, an owner of a three-bedroom property in Birmingham could save up to £117 per year.
Allan Burns, head of Home Insurance, said: "This is a great saving and it’s worth getting a quote even if your policy doesn’t expire for a couple of months."
Tesco home insurance also offers policy holders buildings cover of up to £1 million, a 24-hour consumer helpline.
The retail giant also pledges to replace purchased stored information, for instance music on an MP3 player, to the value of £1,000.
