'Opt for Halifax loans to cut motoring costs'
New car buyers can cut the costs of getting their vehicle on the road by opting for a loan from Halifax to finance their purchase, it has been claimed.
According to a study from Auto Express running costs for UK motorists have risen 42 per cent in the last 20 years.
The rise has been driven by a 134 per cent rise for a MoT to £51.80, a 64 per cent rise in petrol prices and a 190 per cent hike in the price of metallic paint.
However, motorists can significantly alleviate the burden of getting their car up and running by opting for a Halifax car loan, according to Neil Chandler, head of Halifax Unsecured Personal Loans.
He explained: "Whatever your reason for taking an unsecured personal loan, with Halifax you'll have no monthly repayments for the first three months.
"If you're buying a car, this will allow you to pay for other things such as road tax, MOT or car insurance."
