IFAs expect more multi-manager business
Financial advisors are expecting to see more multi-manager business in the next financial year.
A poll of independent financial advisors (IFAs) by Resolution Asset Management revealed that almost half expected to put more client money on multi-manager funds.
Half said they expected demand for such investments to remain the same, while only four per cent anticipated a decline.
"Diversification of fund manager is clearly a huge concern for advisers," said Resolution director, Jonathan Polin.
"Multi-manager funds are forming an increasingly important part of IFAs' client portfolios and there is no doubt that this trend is set to continue.
"With alternative assets poised to play a growing role in multi-manager funds, I believe this form of investment will only grow in popularity and continue to demonstrate its importance to IFAs seeking diversification," he added.
The British economy is expected to slow this year and with the cost of living rising, savings could fall down the list of priorities for many people.
IFAs will be hoping that in more uncertain times, people will turn to the experts.
