Users 'should seek the best energy deals'
The latest high-user electricity offering from npower has been met with disappointment by one price comparisons site.
Moneysupermarket.com has greeted the introduction of SOL 9 by observing that consumers will now have to look elsewhere for a competitive product.
Scott Byrom, utilities experts at the price comparisons firm, stated that those already subscribing to the SOL 8 product would be allowed to continue to do so, but that new high-use customers looking for help with money might be better off elsewhere.
"Scottish & Southern's Price Fix 2008 and British Gas Click Energy 4 now lead the way for higher users," he asserted.
"The Scottish & Southern proposition is potentially the most tempting, with its rates fixed until November."
The utilities finance news follows criticism levied against npower over the weekend, when it increased the tariff on its tracker product in line with a similar undertaking by British Gas in recent weeks.
