UK prices 'prompting property searches abroad'
Persistent high prices in the UK housing market are resulting in more and more people looking overseas for investment opportunities, it has been claimed.
Foreign exchange services firm HiFX has reported that those looking for help with money from the property sector are now considering international hotspots and emerging markets, attempting to spot the burgeoning trends.
Mark Bodega, marketing director for HiFX, provided advice for those seeking help with money from such an investment: "We always [recommend] that if people are investing, they seek independent advice; don't use the solicitor or legal people that are recommended to you by the developer."
He added that consumers conduct thorough research and ensure that due diligences are carried out before handing over funds to avoid a personal finance disaster.
Investors in overseas property may be interested to read that on November 7th the US dollar fell to a 26-year low against both sterling and the euro.
