Southern Italy 'has much to offer the investor'
Property buyers looking to make a profit on the European market might stop short at Rome, Florence or Tuscany when considering what Italy has to offer in terms of help with money.
However, one industry website has stated that the south of the country has properties available at "very reasonable prices".
Furthermore, the homes have "great potential", meaning that there could be strong profits to be made, Homes in Italy remarks.
Mark Slaviero, director of Homes in Italy, said: "I wouldn't say that they're untapped regions, but they're very much new regions on the radar for overseas property buyers - so the prices are very reasonable."
He added that an increase in prices was "definitely" expected in the next three years, meaning that those seeking help with finance through such an investment could be confident of a return.
The personal finance commentator has referred to data from the Italian Federation of Professional Estate Agents which indicates a "marked" increase of property prices in Calabria and Puglia in the last year.
