Life insurance 'must be reviewed regularly'
It is vital that UK consumers review their life insurance cover regularly in order to make sure it reflects their needs, one personal finance company has stated.
According to Life Direct, a lot of people have cover but it is not enough to insure them to the degree that they imagine.
This means that their loved ones could be left needing help with money should they die.
Kieran Platt, director of the firm, remarks: "There are a lot of people now running around underinsured, because a lot of people cover the mortgage, but they don't think about protecting the family as well."
He adds that the cost of such help with finance has decreased significantly in recent years and people may find that getting sufficient cover is not as expensive as they imagine.
In related finance news, the Association of British Insurers has stated that one in three Britons have not renewed their life insurance in the last five years.
