Tesco slashes costs of home insurance policy
Tesco has announced a limited-availability new home insurance offer which promises to cut the cost of insuring your home by half.
The offer covers buildings and home insurance, which are both to be 50 per cent cheaper over the first year of the policy.
It is available to all new customers who can apply either by one or online, with the discount applying only when customers approach the insurer in either of these ways.
Apart from the discount, other selling points of the policy include Tesco's pledge to replace stored information on a lost or damaged mp3 player, a dedicated claims team and a 24-hour household emergency helpline.
Alan Burns, head of home insurance at Tesco's, said: "This is one of the best offers currently available in the market.
"It is a considerable saving and worth you getting a quote even if your policy doesn't expire in the next few months."
