Saga launches new fixed rate bond
Saga has bolstered its range of savings products with the launch of a new fixed rate bond.
The One Year Fixed Rate Bond offers savers aged 50 or more a rate of 6.71 per cent AER, which Saga claims makes "one of the top UK based bonds on the best buy charts".
Saga predicts that the bond will appeal to investors who do not require access to their money for the term of their investment, but who want to choose between having their interest paid monthly or weekly.
Investors seeking to capitalise on the returns offered by the bond must however act quickly since it is available for a limited period only.
Other savings products on offer from Saga include the Saga Online Savings Account, Saga Secure ISA, Saga Secure Savings Account and a range of fixed rate bonds.
The company's products are only available to consumers aged 50 or over
