MoneyExpert.com comments on new Halifax card
Consumers tempted by the new Halifax All-in-One credit card have been urged to consider offers from other providers before taking the plunge.
Launched this week, the Halifax All-in-One Card offers borrowers zero per cent interest on balance transfers for ten months and zero per cent interest on purchases for the same period.
These terms could assist borrowers to pay off their debts provided they do not add to their debt in this time.
However, while this offer looks favourable there are better deals to be had if consumers shop around, according to Sean Gardner, chief executive of MoneyExpert.com.
He said: "Savvy consumers with a strong credit record can do better however if they're after a balance transfer card. Halifax's ten month balance transfer period looks pretty small when compared to the Virgin Money 15 month offer and the 14 months Barclaycard are offering on two of their cards.
"Similarly, if you're looking for the longest possible introductory purchase rate, then you can expect a full 12 months with the HSBC MasterCard."
